Studio Mukheli
Fhatuwani and Justice Mukheli are twin brothers born in Soweto, South Africa. They are multi-disciplinary creatives working as photographers, directors and visual artists. The brothers founded their career in advertising from where they branched into multi-faceted creative pursuits.
Their work in photography and visual art has had a unique impact on creative and youth culture both locally and on the African continent. Their unique understanding of black youth culture, story-telling, fashion, social media and visionary aesthetic gives them broad capability in all their projects. Their work reflects their distinct experiences and perspectives, weaving together themes of childhood, race, sexuality, hope, love and innocence to create a universal visual language that is both tender and confronting.
Together, Fhatuwani and Justice are Studio Mukheli – a home for creative practice, healing and purpose-driven projects based on the premise of ‘stronger together’.
